Lance McCormack has motoring engrained in him, with fond memories of being on duty on his Father’s Lotus Cortina as a boy. His career in the manufacture and restoration of high end classic cars now spanning over 4 decades! He started his career at Rolls-Royce’s last coach builder; Mulliner Park Ward in North West London as a craft apprentice (panel beater) in 1976. After completing his apprenticeship he became a journeyman, returning to Rolls Royce in the mid 80s and working his way up to becoming the youngest ever final inspector on the Phantom V1 and Corniche cars. Since 1990 he has presided over Romance of Rust his restoration company in West London and has earned a reputation for his attention to detail and fine workmanship. Restoring Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Ferrari and Facel Vega cars amongst many other marques; with many top end restorers calling on his skills on their own restorations.
