David Bond //

As Managing Director of Footman James, David Bond and his classic MGB are never far from a classic vehicle event. For over 38 years, FJ has gone above and beyond to offer support to enthusiasts and operate as a key player in the classic community. In more recent years, FJ has launched a number of community led initiatives, ranging from their Coffee & Chrome breakfast meets, to their Chrome Collective club for private clients. FJ also partners with many other key players in the industry, such as the British Motor Museum, Harrys Garage and Prescott Hill Climb. Not forgetting there Find a Garage tool that helps connect classic businesses with enthusiasts; keeping the community alive and thriving is at the heart of everything they do

Sandra Button //

Sandra Button has guided the growth of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance for more than half of its existence; the event began in 1950, and Sandra began to oversee it in 1986, serving first as its Executive Director and since 2002 as its Chairman. She has been directly involved in expanding the range of cars on our show field and drawing many more entrants from overseas, adding the Tour d’Elegance and Motoring Classic driving events to the Concours, and instituting our Car Selection Committee, wherein about 15 experts serve to review entry applications and curate the cars shown in special classes. Sandra has also been deeply involved in transforming the collector car hobby into a truly global celebration of the automobile, supporting many new automotive events and seeking to encourage the next generation of enthusiasts. She often officiates at concours from Asia and the Middle East to Europe and South America. She and her husband, Martin Button, have an eclectic collection of automobiles and regularly participate in driving events such as the 1000 Millas Sport Argentina, the Copperstate 1000 and the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. Sandra is also a member of the Royal Automobile Club, the Classic Car Club of America, the Motor Press Guild, and the Society of Automotive Historians. She is often ranked among the most influential people in the collector car world.

Robert Coucher //

Robert Coucher new up with classic cars and has owned a Lancia Aurelia B20GT, an Alfa Romeo Giulietta and a Porsche 356C. He currently uses his properly sorted 1955 Jaguar XK140 as his daily driver, and is the founding editor of Octane magazine.

Emma Crickmay //

Emma Crickmay is the Joint Managing Director of Frank Dale & Stepsons and whilst the firm are the oldest independent specialists of Rolls-Royce and Bentley in the world, Emma is happy driving almost anything with four wheels. Her life long passion for cars was encouraged by her father and both of her grandfathers own careers in the industry and now, alongside her brother Giles, she works with the marques they know best from across ten decades. Emma is also a Director of the Historic and Classic Vehicles Alliance. The HCVA was created to ensure classic cars and the talented people that work tirelessly to keep them on the road for us all to enjoy are championed, protected and preserved for future generations.

Massimo Delbò //

Forever in love with cars, in 1997 started working for an Italian car magazine. Soon after, following his passion for classic cars, started writing about them. He is the Italian contributor for Octane magazine and member of ICJAG (International Chief Judge Advisory Group). A passionate collector himself, has few old cars in his garage that he loves to drive.

Berthold Dörrich //

Berthold's passion for classic cars started during his university days. Although his first classic - a Triumph Spitfire - turned from "dream classic" to "nightmare classic" within months, there was no way this experience affected his enthusiasm - on the contrary! Besides a particular soft spot for pre- and postwar British classics, Porsche models are among his favorites. In addition to his work as publisher of OCTANE, Berthold is enthusiastically participating in continental classic car rallies and runs a marketing-firm that provides creative services to the international car industry.

Shinichi Ekko //

A car historian with an extensive network of contacts in Modena and Turin, Italy. While working in the entertainment business around the world as a producer of a record company, also was involved in the automotive industry. Founder and chairman of Maserati Club of Japan in 1993. Currently runs the EKKO PROJECT as a business consultant and Also working as a journalist. Born in Tokyo Japan.

Keith Gapp //

Keith is a valued partner to historic motoring, and has worked with numerous organisers and events. He has innovated approaches to marketing and sponsorship. He was responsible for EFG's strategy and marketing, and conceived and oversaw their historic motoring activities. He remains active as an advisor, including to HERO and E. Gutzwiller & Cie, Banquiers.

L Scott George //

L. SCOTT GEORGE is Executive Vice President of CH Motorcars and Curator of Collections for Revs Institute®, Naples, Florida. The institute houses a collection of over 100 exceptional, historical automobiles. He is a member of the International Chief Judge Advisory Group and the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion Advisory Council. 

Mark Hyman //

Mark Hyman is the founder of Hyman Ltd, one of the largest and most respected collector vehicle dealers in the world. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Hyman Ltd’s 70,000-square foot facility is filled with a diverse inventory of nearly 200 of the world’s finest automobiles, covering virtually every era and genre imaginable –from horseless carriages to modern-era supercars and virtually everything in between. Mark and his expert staff of fifteen serve a global clientele through sales, procurement, and a highly successful consignment program. When not making deals happen in the office, Mark can be found meeting friends old and new at concours events, tours, rallies, and automotive gatherings around the world. After more than 33 years in operation, Mark combines his passions for automobiles, business, and travel, continuing to drive Hyman Ltd into the future. 

Jeremy Jackson-Sytner //

In 2012, after some 30 years as an award-winning advertising agency creative, Jeremy Jackson-Sytner conceived the ‘royal’ concours at Windsor Castle. An event so spectacular that in its first year it won both ‘Best Concours’ and a Personal Achievement Award at the Octane International Historic Motoring Awards. In one giant leap the UK had a world-class concours to equal the very best—alongside Pebble Beach and Villa d’Este. The Concours of Elegance moved on circus-like year by year from Royal Palace to Royal Castle, on a journey from St James’s Palace in London, to Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, to Hampton Court Palace in Surrey and back to Windsor Castle again. As curator of the Concours Jeremy had the privilege of travelling the globe visiting remarkable concours, gaining a unique insight into the world of concours. Along with the privilege to be an Honorary Judge at concours in Delhi, Valletta, Amsterdam and Essex. Early in 2021 Jeremy left the Concours of Elegance to launch ‘Mr. Concours’, a consultancy established to help oil the wheels of gaining entry to and partaking in concours d’elegance. As well as providing strategic advice and planning to those people wanting to start their concours events—mainly what not to do! With his other hat on, Jeremy has been organising exclusive motoring adventures since 1985—tours for great people with great cars. Everything from Grand Tours, to bespoke family European tours, to driving weekends in France.

Their signature event, the annual Grand Tour is now in its 36th year. In 2015 he organised the Highland Tour, a two day adventure through the breathtaking Scottish countryside which was awarded Best Tour of 2015 at the Octane International Historic Motoring Awards. In 2021, Jeremy moved palaces and became Concours Curator of the Salon Privé Concours d’Élegance at Blenheim Palace.

In 2022, I was Chief Judge at the Valletta Concours d’Elégance in Malta.

Corrado Lopresto //

Corrado Lopresto, architect and businessman from Milan, is the most famous Italian collector of classic cars in the world. His cars, all Italian one-offs, prototypes, and specials, are the stars in concourses of elegance all over the world with over 280 prizes including 60 best in show. Lopresto is famous for his exceptional attention to preservative restoration, also recognized by Unesco, and for the big archive of original documents.

Bruce Meyer //

Bruce Meyer is a renowned collector of vintage automobiles, motorcycles and historic winning race cars from the 24 Hours of LeMans to indy to the Bonneville Salt Flats. Bruce is the driving force and Founding Chairman of the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California, where he continues to serve as Vice- Chairman.

Michael Milne //

Michael Milne is the author of the Roadster Guide to America’s Classic Car Museums & Attractions and writes about car museums for Octane and other publications in the US and UK. A full-time global nomad since 2011, he has visited more than 400 classic car sights around the world.

Donald Osborne //

Donald Osborne ASA, is a classic car historian, consultant, accredited appraiser, author, curator and the CEO of the Audrain Group in Newport, Rhode Island, where he guides the Audrain Automobile Museum, Audrain Motorsport and the Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week. He is known internationally for his recurring segment “Assess & Caress with Donald Osborne” on CNBC Primetime’s show “Jay Leno’s Garage”, in which, for six seasons he has shared his considerable knowledge of collector car attributes and values. 

Henry Pearman //

Henry has spent a lifetime obsessed with cars, joining his local motor club at just 13 years of age. From school, a three year bespoke course took him to a fully qualified management level in the industry, with practical experience at Brands Hatch, followed by three years at a Rolls Royce and Bentley specialist, working in the service and all the restoration departments. This was briefly followed by helping with the formation of a new Ferrari specialist. Just turned 21, in 1984 Henry followed his life long passion and love of the Jaguar E-type and established Eagle, which has become a world renowned specialist and restorer. He is a dedicated collector too, with an eclectic mix of cars and race bikes and also has a deep passion for Group C race cars and was instrumental in helping found the HCVA with industry colleagues in late 2020.

Ton Roks //

Ton is active as a motoring journalist since 1985. He has been editor-in-chief of Holland’s leading car magazine Autovisie for 20 years but decided to focus on classic cars ten years ago by starting the Dutch (and Flemish) edition of Octane Magazine. Ton has a weak spot for V8’s and drives a Ford Falcon Sprint and MG B Roadster V8.

Peter Stevens //

Professor Peter Stevens is one of the world's best-known and most sought-after automotive designers. He is a consultant designer who is committed to the vital importance of design education. Alongside his consultancy, he lectures internationally on design. He is well known as the designer of the McLaren F1 road car which marked a paradigmatic shift in high performance car design. It was produced between 1993 and 1997. It remains influential and acclaimed.   Peter has specialised in the design of innovative and high-performance vehicles, including the MG X-Power SV, MG TF, Jaguar XJR-15, Prodrive Subaru World Rally Championship-winning car, Lotus Esprit MkII, Lotus Excel and Elan SE as well as BMW’s 1999 Le Mans winner. His focus is on creating visually pleasing, light, safe, fuel efficient vehicles, articulating the design process around aerodynamics and the development of innovative processes and materials. He has also always had a fascination with the simple vehicles that are part of the mobilization of the less wealthy, particularly in countries with developing industrial production. For example he worked for two years with Indian company Mahindra & Mahindra to set up a modern design studio and up to date design processes whilst overseeing new vehicles designs in Mumbai.   He has been nominated twice for the Prince Phillip Designer’s Prize, was Autocar magazine’s Designer of the Year in 2002, and received the British Design Council Award for the Lotus Elan SE in 1991.   PSD LLP, Peter's consultancy, is currently involved in design and consultancy for a variety of vehicles for home and international markets. Recent projects, under confidentiality embargo, include low-cost vehicles for transportation in developing countries, a high performance electric race cars and road vehicles, and energy efficient public transportation solutions, plus funicular railways and cablecars

Amanda Stretton //

For over 25 years, Amanda has combined her own automotive passion with being one of the UK’s leading female motorsport, classic car and automotive TV broadcasters. But unlike her peers she has raced competitively in historic, modern GT and Le Mans prototypes on the world’s most famous race tracks, and is still the only British female racing driver to have ever won an International long-distance GT race.

Dominic Taylor-Lane //

Dominic Taylor-Lane is the founder of the Association of Heritage Engineers & Sustainable Skills Network. A life-long fan of engineering, hand skills and all things mechanical, he is passionate about inspiring and supporting a new generation of engineers and artisans, collaborating with organisations both nationally and internationally to create a relevant future for our industries and communities. His current fleet includes a 1974 Royale supercharged SuperVee racing car ,1990 Mercedes SEC. 1976 Toyota Celica and a much modified 1957 MG Magnette ZB. 

David Whale //

David has served as Chiarman of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs since 2012 and was Senior Vice President of the Fédération International des Véhicules Anciens and a personally co-opted member of the International Historic Commission of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile. His historic vehicle interests extend from a 1904 Curved Dash Oldsmobile to a 1973 Range Rover.

Georgina Wood //

Georgina is the Managing Director for P & A Wood and has been surrounded by unique and interesting motor cars her entire life. She has completed a number of rallies in Rolls-Royce Silver Ghosts, regularly drives the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run in her 1903 De Dion Bouton and is one of the few named recognised drivers of the famous Napier Railton.
