About the Awards
What to expect
The International Historic Motoring Awards is the most prestigious, global awards night in the collector cars world, celebrating the achievements of people and organisations worldwide.
Launched in 2011, the International Historic Motoring Awards is now back in the ownership of its original founders, Geoff Love and David Lillywhite of Hothouse Media. It has been relaunched for 2024, with more focused, global award categories and the stunning new venue of the Peninsula London hotel.
Dress code
This is a special evening, and visitors dress to match the occasion. The dress code is black tie: For men, that’s a dinner suit, bow tie, black shoes and, if required, a white pocket handkerchief. Cumerbunds or waistcoasts are considered optional nowadays with black tie..
For women, typical ‘black tie’ dress code choices are more flexible: According to Debrett’s, a dress can be full length or knee-length, but no shorter, and should only reveal a little décolletage. Trousers are another acceptable option for women, but a palazzo cut (flared from the waist) is recommended over anything too form-fitting.
