Hortons Books are the leading supplier of out-of-print and new motoring literature. Our inventory includes; rare and limited editions, numerous out of print books and most new motoring titles currently available worldwide. We pride ourselves on finding the rarest motoring books and brochures ever published. We have a stock of circa 25,000 books and sales brochures.

Hortons Books is a family owned business started in 1997. Mike and Ben Horton, the father and son team, set the company up to meet the growing demand for out of print motoring literature, both the obscure and difficult to source new publications, in addition to the more mainstream current titles and new releases.

Hortons’ client base is not limited to private collectors, but extends to leading companies, institutions and clubs within the broader motoring sector. To this end Ben has advised a number of bodies on procurement and cataloguing for their respective reference libraries.

Hortons’ exhibit at leading motoring events throughout Europe and America, including; Retromobile Salon, France; The British Grand Prix, Silverstone; Goodwood Festival of Speed, UK; Goodwood Revival, UK; Amelia Island Concours D’Elegance, USA; Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance, USA are just a few.

From their dedicated Wiltshire premises, Hortons’ operates the daily running of the business including the fulfilment of orders to an international client base. This part of the business is growing rapidly with the successful release of the fully operational ecommerce website in July 2012.

The website catalogues more than 7000 products in stock that are available for immediate dispatch. There are circa 10,000 more products to add and we expect there will be nearly 20000 products available online by the end of 2025. We are committed to ensuring our site is up to date with new titles as they are launched worldwide and all out of print books recently sourced.
